KM36T (Thermal Gunner's Primary Sight) Reference

In the battlefield, you look for every advantage that you can get. Situations have far too many variables to leave things up to chance. You need to be prepared for any and everything. The KM36T integrates 3 different forms of target acquisition into one easy to use system. This rugged system can be highly customized to fit the needs of any infantry fighting vehicle or main battle tank.

Each unit contains a high magnification glass optic, uncooled thermal optic and CCD camera. The gunner is able to choose which way to acquire his target, and confirm hits with the same or a different form of vision. These forms of visual acquisition are integrated into a single unit and are easily interchanged.

KEY FEATURES:

Three Different kinds of Views
The KM36T integrates 3 different kinds of viewers into a single unit. The thermal unit is an uncooled thermal viewer with 2 different fields of view with different magnifications and varying fields of view. The daytime CCD camera is a color view with a low magnification. With a low magnification, the gunner is able to get a wider field of view and find targets within close proximity to the armored vehicle. The glass optic has an 8x magnified view. Day or night, you can detect targets 1.5 kilometers away.

Uncooled Thermal Imaging
Although cooled thermal imaging is better for long distance surveillance, uncooled thermal imaging is better for actual battlefield conditions. Long Wavelength Infrared Radiation, that Uncooled Thermal Imagers pick up, transmits better through fog and dust.

Customized Reticles
Each armored vehicle has different weapons and armaments. To accommodate for this, each system will be custom programmed with a set of reticles to be selected from that have been calibrated to the specified weapons.

Easy Integration
The KM36T can easily be integrated into numerous armored vehicles. It can act as a direct replacement for the M36E, without any modifications.
